St. Joseph School is a private school run by the Roman Catholic Church. It is located in Hilo. It serves about 300 students from Toddler/Preschool through the 12th grade. The Junior and Senior High School is located on the upper campus and the Elementary school is located on the lower campus. The school is small, but is a privately run school. Religion courses are integrated into the lessons for all students. Since the school has a small amount of people, the student to teacher ratio is beneficial in the learning process.
